Volunteer
Our
Scholarship program allows volunteers to work directly with individual
families on a one-on-one basis. The expected communication problems disappear
the moment a smile is shared.
International
Volunteer Scholarship Program
The goal of the scholarship program is to facilitate the basic expenses
for honest and sincere individuals with a genuine desire to assist Global
Service Foundation with its efforts. Especially for those who may not have
the means to otherwise participate. The program will provide the recipient
with up to one year of study/training.
(GSF aims to support 12
new volunteers over the next 2 years, providing both full and partial
funding for transportation, travel insurance, room/board, etc...)
No matter what your skills
may be, there is ALWAYS a way to channel good intention.
Some can give a little extra time, some a little extra money, while others
can participate directly in some of our outreach programs. Sometimes close
to your home and sometimes on the other side of the world!
We are happy to receive
your assistance!
TESTIMONIAL
"I spent three months in West
Bengal, India back in 1997 while working on my Masters thesis
in Anthropology. I developed a strong connection with many of the
people in that region and have continued correspondence with several
of the individuals I met on my trip. I was highly amazed at the warmness
of the people I lived with as well as the deep and gratifying spiritual
life they lead.
I was able to see first hand the environmental and economic conditions
of that particular area in West Bengal. Having a history in environmental
work and social volunteerism, I wanted to participate more within
the organization. Since my travels, I have become an active volunteer
within Global Service Foundation and realize the capacity for development
within the organization is endless. This makes this particular organization
even more exciting and dynamic.
I highly recommend volunteering or taking part in current projects
of Global Service Foundation. It is not only educational, but more
than that it is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. I have met
many wonderful people while participating in GSF and have established
close friendships with many of the individuals who are involved."
